Quiet month for me

Just to let you all know this month is going to be a quiet month on the blogging world for me, so sorry if I don't leave comments on your blog and probably won't be posting any creations this month - had a family drama involving my son and I have been tossing up whether to post it here or not.... so read on if you want to know......

My son was a victim of home invasion on Tuesday night - he went for a walk to the supermarket with a girl friend, left the lights & TV on, house was locked up, his car was in the driveway and friends car parked on the street - so to the normal person it would of looked like house was attended.
They came back and walked straight through into the kitchen area to put away the few groceries they had bought and to cook dinner. He left the girl in the kitchen and went to walk down the hall way when he was greeted by a man wearing a balaclava and baseball bat - a fight broke out and another guy appeared with a gun and fired at my son (bullet missed - warning shot or bad aim??????).
My son continued to fight the two guys and told the girl to run - she ran to neighbours for help. These guys had duct tape, ropes, baseball bat & guns what is the whole coming too!!!!!!!!
After they realised the girl had got out - quite a few threats were made about what they will do when they came back - they then took off out the front - Josh ran out the back to see where the girl was and cops came.
Josh & girl taken to hospital - josh had to be treated but he assures me it was only minor - police taped off house as it is now a crime scene and said they'd be there all night long could he go elsewhere to stay.
He was allowed back into the house last night to get a few things and he has left the area to stay with a mate until after his comp next weekend.
He has to go back to clean up the house, patch up the wall and put it on the market to sell (he says he won't go back there).
So I'm am a worried, tired, exhausted mumma at the moment.
xx

Oh Christine, I am so sorry. I'm glad everyone is alright and I hope they 'get them'. Lets hope they left some evidence or something behind.

OMG Chris, I don't know if I should have been thinking this or not but when you mentioned he met them in the hallway, all I had was this vision of all his muscles in my head being able to fend them off - ludacrous!!! One things for sure, I wouldn't be wanting to go back there either, how could you get any sleep after that? So glad no-one was seriously hurt. Just glad he has you to help him thru this very challenging time, take good care of you and yours, Tiff xx.
