Merry Christmas and some eye candy

Merry Christmas to all that do read my blog.
Still busy with the foster kids (that came for a month's respite and haven't left yet - hoping that changes in the New Year as I need to focus more on my family, work and life in general).
A quiet Christmas with us as hubby was at work so just me and the kids - we still did our traditions. Children can have stockings before breakfast, then we have breakfast and dress before tackling the presents under the tree. Afterwards I get into the kitchen to cook a big lunch with roast pork, chicken & lamb plus all the vegetables - so yummy.
Hope you had a good Christmas too :)

Next is some eye candy - my son Josh had some photos taken before his last bodybuilding comp in October - these are copyrighted so no stealing them for your wallpaper ;)
I think he could of made a career of being a male model too - what do you think?

No Scrapping but I've been to BALI

Only have a few holidays to share that was taken on my camera (we used one of the other girls camera's for most photos and it was stolen the night before leaving - sad face).

I drank TEA - well it was lemongrass herbal tea and it was delicious (wouldn't do it all the time), did try the coffee (which I hated - even the sweetened ones that my friends we raving about how yummy it was).

After this we went cycling through villages, rice fields, etc .... well that is what we booked in for but what we got was a different story, they booked us in for an EXTREME ADVENTURE cycle tour, I didn't make it half way before my knee gave out (had to be taken to end point in car and soon as I got back to room laid down for a couple hours and iced my knee). Anyway tour was for 42 k's - through rough terrain, up and down steep hills, etc....


Went to Monkey Forrest and this delightful little girl decided to groom me and then PEE'd down my back - yucko (and that was the beginning of the day).

We actually went too early and the monkey's hadn't been fed yet and they mobbed us for the banana's - it was quite scary (not my first time feeding them and I was frightened as they were biting through our bags trying to get them - would recommend if going then go after late morning).

My best friend Sandi and I (prior to the toileting incident). I've been friends with Sandi now for over 25 years and she is like a sister to me (love you Sandi. xx)



Safari park - totally recommend it but allow yourself the whole day and take swimmers. We only booked in for the basic package but if your finances allow it go for a higher package as the safari tour is worth doing twice.

Feeding the elephants - they mobbed us and I couldn't stop laughing.

I GOT TO PAT A BABY LION CUB - I was so wrapped, not the best photo but I was talking about getting to pat one, etc - so flippin excited..........

And I got to hold the baby ORANGUTAN - he was so cute :)

Break time from all the walking at the Safari Park - so hot (Jo, Sandi & Me)

I did it on the first day - got my hair braided (cost me $15 Australian dollars), took nearly 2 hours and hurt so much to get it done (I was sure my scalp was bleeding) - it lasted as long as it took to get done (nearly 2 hours) and then I took it out. But I can say I had it done ;)

Besides from that every day we spent at least an hour at the spa getting massages, manicures, pedicures, cream baths, etc

Shop lots (not that I bought much) and ate lots of delicious food and drank Bintang (funny really as not a beer drinker but like a beer with the food).

What I didn't like about the holiday was there was lots of schoolies - some were good but others were obnoxious (that's the reason we went as Jo's daughter was there for schoolies) and the HEAT - never been over their this late in the year and the sweat was constantly dripping off you.

October's Layouts

My layouts for the month of October - I've managed to get 4 layouts done (I remember when this would of been a slow days scrapping and now it's a whole months worth).

I've had a massive cull of my scrapping stash (given it away as I just wanted it gone), kept paper ranges that really appealed to me (down to about 15 now) and my newer embellishments but all the rest have GONE.

Not the end of scrapping for me - just making time for the other things in life (currently have 2 little foster kiddies that have been with me full-time for 6 weeks and still have another 2 weeks to go, they are 2 years and 4 years, plus I'm still Mum to my 2 teenage girls & working Monday - Friday, so you could say my life has been very busy lately).

With all this happening I'm relieved that I have given up all my DT positions (that would of been such a headspin trying to create to a deadline with young ones - I don't know how you mothers of young ones do it - fairy claps for you).

Bali holiday is booked for end of next month - 24th November for 10 blissful days with my best friend (and a few of her friends) - no husbands, no children, no housework, no I wants - can't wait.

Oh and nearly forgot - I GAVE UP PEPSI MAX - OMG, still in shock (used to drink approximately 6 cans a day and I have replaced it with WATER, yes that stuff I used to think would kill me to drink it - lol). The past month I've had 2 sips on the first day I gave up, a coke zero when I went to cinemas, and 1/3 can last weekend at a social event - okay it was a tupperware party but there were adults there and not kids so it's a social event to me :D I'm so proud of myself - now if only I could get off the chocolate *rolling eyes*.......

Thanks for taking the time to read my post - only going to be blogging now once a month (unless I get really bored and get some spare time).

We are looking for 2 new faces to join our Design Team, helping with our monthly challenges, cyber crops and of course the day to day chatter in our forum.
Being on the Mystical Scrapbooks DT is fun, but please be aware of the time commitment.

We ask that you
- Become an active forum member
- Provide a monthly challenge (with example) at the beginning of each month
- Able to co-host monthly Cyber Crops
- Provide support to the members with help / suggestions
- Come up with new / different techniques and share with our members on a regular basis

My weekend of Scrapping

http://www.scrapbooksavvy.com.au/forum/ this weekend was the Cybercrop at Savvy with some fabulous challenges - I only managed to get 3 done which I'm very happy with.

Anthea Challenge - sketch (which I flipped on the side)

Kerryn Challenge - puzzle pieces (had to use: star, bird, bow, clouds and paint)

Sara Challenge (bingo board and you had to use three things in a row - I picked row 1 across which was doily, 1 photo and stars)

Retreat Time Again

Retreat time again with http://scrapawayinwa.blogspot.com/ , this time it was at Club Capricorn, Yanchep, WA and it was a fantastic weekend away with the girls (just what I needed).

I managed to start and complete 16 layouts (most of which are for August-September DT commitments so you will see them in the upcoming months) and 2 sets of cards (3 cards in each set).

Now do you remember "WALLY" the mascot of Scrap Away in WA?????
Wally has gone into retirement and Tamara bought a new "Wally" mascot for us to fight over (when you finish a layout you have to claim Wally as your own and you can have a pick out of the choccie bowl). Here are some photos of Wally from the weekend.

Now on Saturday night we (Tamara, Sarah & I) were having a glass of wine when Wally decided he would like to join us.

Unfortunately poor Wally isn't very good with drinking and got a wee bit drunk and had to chunder :(

Then Wally had to have a lie in on Sunday to recover - thank goodness he was only found in bed with the wine bottle (imagine the explaining he would have to do to Mrs Wally if it had of been Barbie in bed with him?)
